IC INFORMATION
Character Name: Black Cat/Lucio.
Species: Human.
Canon: Lies of P.
Canon Point: Killed fighting Geppetto’s Puppet.
Character Age: 17 (headcanon, not stated in canon.)
CRAU: No.
CRAU Explanation: n/a.
Character Appearance: here.
…Yeah, he is literally not seen without the mask, I am sorry. If he somehow is convinced to show himself, he's medium-fair-skinned (outside of small patches of slightly greyed skin with more of a scaled texture around the outer sides of his eyes) with very dark brown hair and eyes that were brown once, but are now becoming milky white and looking sleepless with dusky eye bags. Black Cat is also covered in scars, showing signs of growing up in an impoverished neighborhood, and short as hell (5’0”). His left supraorbital vein is a more prominent blue.
[Note: this is all personal headcanon, but based on Cat having been able to pass himself realistically as Red Fox's relative and being a likely victim of the Petrification Disease, which eventually turns people statue-like, causes their organs to fail, commonly robs people of their senses, and crystallizes their blood into a bright blue gem-like resource called "ergo".) His case is early enough that while it affects his sight and he gets fatigued easily, overall Black Cat is healthy.]
Powers and Abilities: Polearm fighting.
What Did Your Character Wish For? That he was really Red Fox’s biological brother.
What Potion Did They Receive? Golden.
Did They Drink It? Not yet… Too suspicious!
Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
Red Fox (real name Claudia Volfe), a woman that cut ties with her wealthy, established family to live the life of a Stalker (“mercenaries, vigilantes, and troubleshooters of Krat society, usually hired by the rich and influential”). Black Cat approached her with the lie of being her lost brother, a bastard raised in the slums, and they soon became each other’s sole priorities. Due to his deep attachment to her, Cat began to feel guilty and to desperately wish that the lie he'd told had been the truth.
2. What are they most afraid of?
Losing Fox, either through her death – something not unlikely in their dangerous city and lifestyle that is more like "survival style" – or by becoming a burden to her in some manner. That includes her coming to the realization that he'd set out to exploit her at the start and that he isn't her "real" brother.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Emotionally: Red Fox. He can be greatly compromised and exploited when she could possibly come under threat/harm, though the situations where that can happen without him also being in harm's way are few. Still, Cat makes it very clear that he means to stop anyone that might try to get to her even at the cost of his own well-being.
Mentally: He didn't commit to education of any kind, even including his Stalker apprenticeship with the Sweepers, largely in part to not taking well to authority figures. He would much rather slack off when he's told otherwise, or seek out a way to benefit himself more directly, preferring instant gratification after being made to wait and scrape by for so long. Because of this, he's convinced that even a true friendship can be bought.
Physically: Cat is losing his eyesight (likely to what's known as the Petrification Disease, though that's never explicitly stated) and not taking very well to the idea of adjusting. He would rather focus instead on working for a material recovery and finding loopholes when it comes to getting that. The illness causing his slow, partial blindness also wears him out faster than how it used to be, making him less formidable in a fight.
4. What would make them happiest?
Being able to live a peaceful life with Fox rather than taking on unpleasant jobs just to live day to day and slow the progression of his blindness. He wouldn't be visually impaired at all in his ideal life, and he would be able to repay Fox for all the kindness and love she's shown him – and he'd feel that he deserved that, even if the truth came out. Heck, make his lie about being Fox’s family the truth! He'd be happy as a kitten stuffed with cream until sleepy, then.
5. What’s their type for a lover?
Someone who would spoil him rotten but also leave him be without putting up too much of a fuss. They would be fine with Cat chattering away when he wanted, kind of a pain in the ass to people not in his very tiny circle, and be unflinchingly loyal to him (and by extension his sister) while not worrying about never being his number one.
